Welcome to the Activity Timeline!

Here, you can find a live ticker of everything that happens in the land of Gator recruiting- from players on Florida’s board committing to a school to simply talking about visiting a school, and everything in between.

For the complete look at Florida’s 2017 recruiting board, check out the recently completed 2017 Big Board.

Wednesday, July 20: Big Board update

As always, you can check out the complete Big Board here.

Trending up: QB Jake Allen (lock status). There were never really any doubts about Allen’s commitment status, but I decided to add the lock feature for guys like him. He’s as sure of a guarantee as you’ll ever find in recruiting.

Trending up: OT Alex Leatherwood (low interest to medium interest, 10% odds to 20% odds). The Gators aren’t giving up on the Alabama tackle commit. He’s coming to Florida’s Friday Night Lights camp, where you just know Allen and the other UF commits will be in his ear.

Trending up: WR DaQuon Green (lock status). If I’m going to lock up Allen, I may as well lock up Green, too. Sunday will mark the one year anniversary of his commitment to Florida, and he’s never wavered. This is where I issue the standard warning that anything can happen in the wild world of recruiting, but for all intents and purposes, consider him to Florida a done deal.

Trending down: OT Kai-Leon Herbert (30% odds to 20% odds). The 30% odds I gave him despite his commitment to Michigan was conditional on whether Allen could persuade him to attend Friday Night Lights. He isn’t coming, so his odds are downgraded.

Trending up: CB Latavious Brini (20% odds to 25% odds). Admittedly a marginal difference for the Georgia commit, but he sent out a cryptic tweet that read “Decisions” with the chin stroking emoji. Could be nothing, but hey, that’s how some recruits communicate these days.

Trending up: S Tray Bishop (25% odds to 50% odds). Bishop’s visit this past Monday went so well that he’s coming back for Friday Night Lights. The fact that he’s visiting Florida twice in one week is enough for me to consider him a coin flip, even though there are two other schools (Georgia and Auburn) in hot pursuit.

Trending up: S Hamsah Nasirildeen (20% odds to 40% odds). Not much has happened with Nasirildeen and Florida since he visited for the spring game until he decided to attend Friday Night Lights. Alabama still appears in the lead for him, but don’t rule him out, either.

Flip/commit watch: CB Shawn Davis. Davis loves Florida, and is apparently just waiting for one more chance to really impress the Florida coaches so they have good memories of him still in their mind when he pulls the trigger.

Trending up & Flip/commit watch: RB Christopher Henderson (Very low interest to medium interest, 10% odds to 25% odds). The Miami commit is now set to participate in Friday Night Lights. That’s intriguing enough to up his odds and add him to flip watch status.

Thursday, July 7

-Two four star Gator targets were taken off the board this past week. CB Latavious Brini has committed to Georgia, while offensive lineman Kai-Leon Herbert has committed to Michigan. Neither is a complete shock, although Herbert did seem to have a solid connection with current QB commit Jake Allen.

-In other news, prized offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood plans to visit Florida for the Gators’ annual Friday Night Lights. While currently committed to Alabama, Leatherwood has far from finished his recruitment process, so it’ll be interesting to keep tabs on him.

  1. First, thanks for the new additions – look forward to reading them. I do have to ask why the launch of the Timeline has a picture of Franks when he’s not mentioned at all in any of the entries. Seems we’d have a pic of Eason (most mentioned) or someone on the recruiting staff, no? Still, I appreciate seeing all who are on the board in one convenient place, and the Timeline looks to be a nice ‘ticker’ going forward.
